Little System, BIG Sound Panasonic SA-PM19 Bi-Amped Bookshelf Stereo System 5-Disc Changer / MP3 Playback / AM-FM-AUX-Cassette / 140 Watts You're bidding on my used Panasonic SA-PM19 stereo system. This was used sparingly in my rec room so it still looks and works like new. There's isn't a mark on it and it sounds fantastic. It's plenty loud for a large room and has great features. They call this a "bookshelf system", but I caution that the component piece is almost 15 inches deep, so your bookshelf needs to be pretty substantial to accommodate it. The beautiful speakers will fit perfectly on a standard 11-inch bookshelf however. This unit offers style and power. It boasts 70 watts of bi-amped power per channel in its sleek, silver housing. The great sounding 2-way speakers have a tuned, rear-firing bass port, and are enclosed in REAL cherry wood veneer. The system includes an AM/FM tuner, cassette recorder, and five-disc CD changer, which plays not only prerecorded CDs, but home-brewed CD-R/RW discs - and it's playback compatible with MP3 digital audio files (more on that later).
To ensure powerful, clear, and virtually distortion-free audio, the
system features a bi-amplified, bi-wired configuration, which splits
the amplifier's labor to independently power each speaker driver for
more efficient power usage. The Super Sound EQ feature boosts the low, medium,
and high frequencies at the touch of a button, and four additional preset
equalizer settings are also included. In my opinion, the best thing about this system is its ability to play native MP3 files burned to a CD! Since each MP3 disc you create will usually hold about 100-125 songs, you can create discs for different purposes. I will burn a disc full of dinner/background music, a couple party music discs, and maybe a disc or two with the latest things I'm listening to. I load them all in the SA-PM19 and they're right there for whatever mood I need. While it's very convenient to have a 5-disc changer for your audio CD's, it's awesome to have the ability to load it with MP3 discs! You'll have over 50 hours of music on tap at all times. Of course, if you have an iPod or MP3 player, there is an auxiliary input to play ALL your digital files through this great sounding system.
